Eight Ash Green Cricket Club Lost By 6 Wickets

Match report Following the title winning celebrations of the previous day, the Sunday first team came down to earth with a bang with a woeful performance at Boxted being soundly beaten by six wickets.

The root cause of the problem was poor batting as we were bowled out for 74 in only 24 overs. Two of the youngest in the team, Richard and Ollie were the only batsmen to get into double figures scoring 71% of the teams runs between them, the next highest score was six. Although a poor wicket didn't help it didn't excuse the poor batting display.

The only real highlight of the afternoon was Luke and Tom recording their best bowling figures for the club as Boxted completed the victory with six wickets and 45 overs to spare.
