Let's get the top line details written up first. EAG CC midweek team won their second game of the season, with a relatively comfortable win over Boxted, by 40 runs. EAG won the toss and batted first, posting a total of 106-7 in their fifteen 8-ball overs. It was hard work with some good bowling and fielding from Boxted. Only Alex Hammond got on top of the bowlers scoring an excellent 37 not out. It was great to see Ethan Frost back and playing and he scored a fluid thirteen with the bat. He needed a chair in the field so he's obviously not quite 100% yet. Boxted started their reply brightly, but wickets for Troy Collins (2-12) and Henry Warner (1-9) halted their progress. The EAG defensive field placing paid dividends and Boxted soon fell behind the run rate, and never recovered. In fact they only managed 2 boundaries in their reply. They started their final over on 66-5 and the game was effectively over....
