Eight Ash Green Cricket Club Lost by 39 runs

Match report Despite a fine bowling performance from Ali Woodcock in particular, Mildenhall's 152 proved to be too many for the Green to chase in our first home match in Div 4; we eventually went down by 39 runs.
With the visitors at 73-6 with 2/3 of the innings gone, to reach 150 was probably 20-30 more than we would have hoped for; certainly Mildenhall seemed to be content with that effort and on a typically low, slow early season pitch (with an outfield to match!), they were proved right. The Green's reply saw the top 6 all make a start of some sorts, but with Alex top-scoring on 21, no-one was able to go on and make the kind of contribution needed to win the match.
A disappointing outcome on the night we celebrate our Platinum party, but we regroup and move on.
