Eight Ash Green Cricket Club Won by 65 runs

Match report The final game for the 2s season begun with Skipper Luke losing the toss as he had done all season, so Matt Parker (unwillingly) and JP set off to get the Green off to a good start.
They achieved the opposite.
The 7th over arrived and both had fallen and the first run off the bat had been scored. Enter Tim C and Alex, who, out of what can only be seen as sportsmanship, lobbed a lovely full toss to the fielder having seen a total of 11 no-balls and wides sent down over his 2 overs.
Ollie Stovell steadied the ship and put on 53 with Tim for the 4th wicket, finishing with a well controlled 92, before trying to play a reverse scoop and being bowled. What a mug. Spicer and McDonald saw the Green through to 195 for 6, a more than respectable total after the 18 ball duck our one time opener managed.
Normality resumed after the interval, Matt Parker (23-3) taking a wicket with his first delivery. From then on the Green went from strength to strength, sharing the wickets amongst the bowlers in what turned into a comfortable victory.
I'd like to thank everyone for an enjoyable season, having finished 3rd in the final standings. Lots to build on so get ready for next year!
