Match report Eight Ash Green won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Early on Sudbury scored quickly due to some short pitch bowling by Eight Ash Green. Eight Ash Green managed to slow the scoring rate a little, but could not stop Sudbury from posting a decent 30 over score of 184 for 7 from 30 overs.

Eight Ash Green were never up with the required run rate, apart from a glimmer of hope when Chris Chambers-Clark hit a four and a six in the 3rd over of the inning. The Sudbury bowlers bowled a much better line and length. Jack Axon scored a steady 53 not out, as we finished on 152 for 9 from 30 overs, to lose by 32 runs.

One of the highlights of the day was 15 year old Joshua Eustace playing in his first senior match bowling well and batting well and was out to a very good running catch just as it looked like he and Ollie Licence could change the match and might possibly get us near the target required.
