Match report EAG midweek XI prevailed in a well contested 'semi-final' against a spirited Boxted team.

Boxted won the toss and chose to bat and were restricted by some tight bowling and excellent fielding. Luke Coppin bowled a miserly 3 overs for 12 runs, taking 2 wickets. Praveen Amarasinghe was arguably the pick of the bowlers beating the outside edge on numerous occasions but without success. All tolled, Boxted could only muster 68-6 in their 15, eight ball overs.

EAG made hard work of the reply and found themselves 19-4 after 6 overs, and in a little bit of trouble. A 36 run partnership between an aggressive Nitja Patel and rather patient Sam Collins, however got the Green back on track and they rolled to victory by 4 wickets with two overs to spare.

An excellent all round team effort - led by the bowling crew.
