The rules for today were all batters retire at 50, maximum 5 overs for a bowler and normal wides.

Eight Ash Green openers Felix Friedlein and Ethan Frost batted very well with Felix Friedlein being the first player to retire on 53 and the Ethan Frost retiring on 50. Hansana Gunasekera made 33 and James Woodcock had yet another not out score of 23.

Eight Ash Green managed to reach 200 for 3 from the allocated 30 overs, which was the first time involving Eight Ash Green matches this season that any team had reached 200 in the 30 over competition.

On a fast outfield and one short boundary Copford done their best to keep up with the run rate, but were always slightly behind the required rate. With Copford having to accelerate the scoring this enabled Dev Agrawal to take 4 wickets and Felix Friedlein 3 wickets. Copford were all out with 1 ball remaining of their allocated 30 overs for 159.

Felix Friedlein had a match to remember by scoring a retired not out 50, dropping 2 catches at mid on and then coming on to bowl and being on a hat trick in his first over and then eventually finishing with 3 wickets for 7 runs.
