Match report As the EAGCC 2XI turned up at Dedham for our home fixture, hopfully for the last time this season not at the fortress that is Eight ash Green, there was sunshine in the sky and expectation in the air.

League leaders Abberton won the toss and decided to bat, which looked like a good decision at drinks when they had made an ageessive 105-5 on a difficult pitch, only pegged back by early wickets from Licence (2-13) as other bowlers struggled.

However, the cliche drinks brings wickets had never been more true than today. A innings turing spell by Coppin (4-35), controlled spell from Hammond (2-13) and run out from Patel restricted Abberton to 135 all out in 29 overs.

At tea, you could tell that we had Abberton worried, but they responded well in the field with some tight bowling spells from all bowlers showed why they are yet to lose this year.

This bowling proved too much for our batting lineup and despite promising starts from Patel 16(9) and T.Collins 18(27), noone managed to grab the innings by the scruff of the neck and we were bowled out for a disapointing 77.
