Eight Ash Green Cricket Club Lost by 8 wickets

Match report Skipper Matt Murray didn't have the strongest hand available to him on Saturday but the Green put up a good performance against Tendring in a overs reduced game. Luke Keeble started impressively but fell for 17, after that EAG found run scoring difficult with the exception of the evergreen Keith Steel who having played for over forty years top scored in an innings for the first time, his hard hitting 24 saw the Green to 83 allout. Keith then reverted to what he has done all through his career and bowled a 10 over spell taking 1 -10, he was backed by some good fielding and a great catch at backward point by Amy Finbow Jeffery. Despite a good spell from Luke Coppin, the Green failed to take wickets and the Tendring batsman grew in confidence to up their rate and win by 8 wickets.
