Ethan Frost and Oliver Licence got Eight Ash Green off to a good start with an opening partnership of 55 for the first wicket. After Ethan Frost was dismissed Eight Ash Green batsman kept coming and going, but Ollie Licence remained at the other end steadily working his way to his maiden fifty. Luke Coppin and Duncan Wyatt put on 31 for the ninth wicket in 4 overs, with the aid of 13 extras.
Praveen had a good 5 over opening bowling spell, but Kris at the other end was bowling full toss deliveries which were being hit for 4. Dev replaced Kris and with Luke at the other end West Bergholt were scoring steadily. After drinks break at 15 overs West Bergholt picked up the scoring tempo and the field was starting to be spread to protect the boundaries. Ollie Licence bowled the 29th and bowled 3 full toss deliveries that were hit for 4, 6 and 4. Ollie was also called for a very harsh wide, which West Bergholt edged the extra ball for 4 runs. Needing 10 from the last over Kris who had returned to bowl, held his nerve in particular on the last ball when West Bergholt needed 2 from the final ball, the batsman played and missed the ball.
