Match report The second win of the season for the under 15's came against West Mersea at home.

The captains agreed we would field first as Mersea only had 6 players due to traffic. An energetic fielding performance built pressure on the Mersea batting line up. The tight fielding resulted in wickets at regular intervals (even with rain delays!). All bowlers played their part. Tom Woodnott was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3-13 including the crucial wicket of Connor Green who scored a well played 53. A special mention to Ben Tilley who picked up his first wicket for the under 15's in his first over.

West Mersea finished on 101 all out. After a short tea break Eight Ash Green would chase. James Plummer and myself made starts but didn't capitalise like Troy Collins (29) and Calum McDonald (41*) who batted sensibly to see the team home in the 12th over.

A very enjoyable win for everyone involved who will be hoping to carry this success on to Boxted on Wednesday. Thank you for everyone who helped with umpiring, teas and scoring who all played their part in a great win for the under 15's.
