Eight Ash Green Cricket Club Won by 75 runs

Match report The 2s looked to bounce back from a miserbale two weeks with a win against Cavaliers. Put into bat first, they got off to a terrible start, losing Captain Keeble, Polley and Belsham early and leaving the score on 18 for 3. A brief recovery from AJ and Jamie Murray meant that the Green limped up to 61 for 5.
Ollie Stovell then entered the fray, and played quite superbly to hit his maiden century for the Green, finishing on 134* and well assisted by Dom Purser (39*). This 150-run partnership meant the Green finished with a more than competitive total of 232-8.
Early wickets were taken with opener Dom Purser carrying on where he left off with the bat, taking a wicket in his 3rd over. Wickets continued to tumble for the Green, with 14 year old Will Spicer the pick of the bowlers, finishing with figures of 4-38 from 7 overs. All the bowlers chipped in and the fielding was good enough to allow the Green to win the game, finishing with a 75 run victory.
