Match report On another humid afternoon the Colchester & East Essex Captain Ben Marshall requested that we did not do a toss and that they field, due to the age of their team. I am always a little sceptical when Captains say this to me, but as always agreed to the request.

Eight Ash Green posted a total of 186-7 from the 30 overs, with James Woodcock coming back into form with 50 retired not out, which is the rules in the Sunday T30. Steve Nunn playing a rare Sunday match thrashed a quick 17 not out, which I was pleased about as when Steve went in to bat I said to Steve I would like a few more runs on the scoreboard for us to bowl with.

Colchester & East Essex were scoring at just under the required run rate all the way through their innings, but Eight Ash Green kept chipping away at the wickets with firstly Caiden Amos bowling nicely after returning to the club last weekend for figures of 2 for 21 runs off his 5 overs. Joshua Eustace held his nerve to take a steepling catch to give James Woodcock his first wicket of the day. James Woodcock took 3 for 7 runs at the back end of the innings to secure victory by 28 runs and make himself man of the match.
