Match report Second win in a row for 2's at the Green on Saturday. Chasing 174 we reached the target with 5 overs to spare, we were given a good start by Tim Chambers and Duncan Wyatt who scored quickly to put on 72 for the first wicket before Duncan was out. Tim departed 5th wicket down for a hard hitting 47, he was one of three lbw dismissals, Bevin and the skipper, (who during Maldon's innings had combined to effect a run out, probably the oldest combination to do so in the club's history) saw the total through to within sight of victory. Fittingly Callum McDonald finished the job, earlier bowling very well he took the first three wickets in Maldon's innings and along with the luckless Matt Chambers caused problems early on. Good to see Matt Murray back, bowling 12 tidy overs.
