Eight Ash Green Cricket Club Lost By 5 Wickets

Match report An unbeaten 76 from Porky was not enough as the green couldn't handle the Uni's opening batsman. Woodn't it be nice to start the game off with a win? Sadly not as Porky looked like he was batting with a barn door the green failed to support him as our second top scorers equalled 10. Defending 113 off 12-8 ball overs the fielding of the green can only be described as doormant. However, a great spell of bowling from Joe picking up 2 wickets for only 26 runs seemed to get the game back on track. Pressure from Calum McDonald's last 2 overs looked like it shut the door for the Uni side however with the opener knocking boundaries over the fielders after being dropped twice there was little hope for the green. In the penultimate over Scribble bowled a lovely half-tracker for the key batsman to hit the winning runs. A slight bit of controversy halfway through the innings as an adoorable incident took place, does anyone know any carpenters?
