Match report This was another one that got away from the Green.
The majority of the batsman struggled to impose themselves on the Bromley bowlers until the belated arrival of Porky (thanks for turning up, did you have something better to do?); he had some fun striking a 21 ball half century and alongside Nunn the younger helped the PieRates post a defendable 149. But forget the boundary hits from these two, the highlight of the innings had to come from Parker M, who struck probably the most glorious extra cover drive that has ever been seen on the green fields of England; it will long live in the memory.
In reply, Bromley were indebted to significant contributions from Burnett & Perrin, although the former may have suffered an early run out - a close call that went in favour of the home team, to the chagrin of a number of the Green's fielders. Eventually Bromley won with 7 balls to spare, followed by the usual scrum over who gets a beef pie and who gets chicken; it's tough being a Greenie!
