Match report Despite it raining as we arrived at the Green & the forecast for heavy showers all evening the game was successfully completed, although it was dark when we finished.
Halstead won the toss & elected to bat, they started well to be 41 of 0 in the 7th over but some good bowling from Purser & Staines reduced them to 54 for 4 after 11 overs.Our bowling continued to dominate Halstead finished 98 for 6 after 20 overs.
Staines was the pick of the bowlers with 14 for 3 off 4 overs. Our fielding was at best average with most of the ground fielding being of Kwik Cricket standard.
EAG were always in front of the run rate & after 13 overs were 95 for 4. On 98 we lost 3 wickets, Morris bowled well but it was dark.The winning run was hit in the 15th over to give EAG a well deserved win. Staines & Purser shared highest score
