Match report This was another excellent game by a rapidly maturing Pirate XI. They could have won it and surely will win similar games in the near future if their skills continue to develop at this pace.

Shorn of their elderly skipper and ably led by sub-lieutenant Steve Goodridge this was a VERY young side. It showed with excellent bowling and ground fielding restricting Rayne to 232 on a small outfield. Ollie Stovell & Dom Purser were the pick of the bowlers.

Most batsmen got in then got out again but the pick of the partnerships was again between Stovell & Purser who added 76 for the fourth wicket. Jonathan Purser was going well for 24 and both the Lennard-Jones and Woodhouse brothers (guests)all weighed in.

Dom Purser pipped Ollie S on age not beauty for POW but well done to all.
