Match report It was a long way to go, to get well beaten ! unfortunately the academy XI probably reserved their poorest performance for the most important match of the season, in what was a bad tempered clash at Worlington.

Worlington batted first and made 255-7, with three of their top five making 50s, albeit aided by several dropped catches and suspicious umpiring decisions!Oli, Keith and Tom A took 2 wickets each with ally picking up the other.

The Green's reply never really looked likely to threaten the 256 target. With the exception of Will, the top order were blown away by the wily veteran Cole. Will batted really well for his 72 which included 2 sixes, but no one was able to give him any significant support and the Green were all out for 158.

A disappointing day, which ended the teams hopes of winning the league, and the prospect of a 1 1/2 hour drive home, did not make things any better.
