Match report After several weeks of good weather, rain arrived at the Heath about an hour before the scheduled start of the 2nd XI match against Colchester 3rds.

The rains eased off sufficiently for the match to make a start at 1.40, but batting first the Green were soon in trouble finding themselves three down for not very many, with Paul, Neil and Colin back in the pavilion sheltering from the drizzle. Stephen and Chris were starting to rebuild the innings making 15 and 21 not out respectively when the rain got heavy enough for the players to come off with the score on 73 for 3.

Despite taking an early tea, the rain was showing no sign of stopping so the match was abandoned around 4.00
