Cricket Week 2026 begins this Friday with the clubhouse hosting Those Colchester Buskers to kick off the Eight Ash Green Village Festival. Come along to see the U15s play a T10 match against the Women’s XI at 6pm before the band start their first set at about 7.30pm. Bar and BBQ food throughout. Bring your family and friends! The band were great last year and we had about 200 people there, so it was buzzing.

Youth Awards take place on Saturday morning after parents and kids kwik cricket fun. On Sunday, the Development XI play Coggeshall at home (1pm). On Wednesday, the Midweek XI play Ardleigh at home (6pm). On Friday 24th, we particularly welcome back past players for the annual Chairman’s v President’s game (1pm). Expect a good collection of Hammonds, Nunns and Chambers and some high quality cricket.

On Saturday 25th the Men’s 1sts are at home v Harwich (1pm) while the 2nds are at Braintree. The 2nds are organising a fun family social that evening from 7.30pm-9.30pm. It will involve things like welly boot throwing, keepy uppy, cricket bowling, egg catching. Plus pizza and prizes.

Cricket Week will end on Sunday 26th with the Women’s XI playing East Bergholt at 10am. Bar open. Support welcome!

Meanwhile, by popular request, the clubhouse will be open tonight for the England v Argentina game. Come along with your family for pizza, drinks and a famous England victory!
