A big date in our season is a week on Sunday (June 14th) when Jamie Murray’s team of all stars will play a Green XI in a memorial game for much-missed brother Matt, who passed away before Christmas. The match will start around 1pm, with a traditional tea between innings and a BBQ afterwards. The weather will have cheered up by then, the bar will be open throughout and there will be a raffle/auction with some fantastic prizes, including signed cricket bats and shirts, tickets to an Essex one day game, a Colchester Golf Club voucher, and sports massage sessions.

Please come along to support the event and, if you can, bring a raffle prize on the day. All the proceeds will go to the Teenage Cancer Trust. It should be a great occasion to celebrate Matt’s contribution to the club and raise money for a charity that is close to our hearts.
