Match report Eight Ash Green won the toss and decided to field.

Rules for this 30 over match were any batter retires at 50, maximum of 5 overs for a bowler and normal wides. The trouble was the Coggeshall captain did not relay the wides message to his players and wides were given when the ball went outside the blue line. In future I will ask Craig not to paint the blue line for this development League.

Eight Ash Green kept chipping away taking wickets and bowled Coggeshall out with the first ball of the last of the allocated 30 overs for a score of 123. As we did not have any slow bowlers for this match, captain Duncan Wyatt asked Sam Collins to bowl so that we could have some pace off bowling and it worked out very well with Sam taking 4 for 17 from his 5 overs.

The Eight Ash Green innings never really got going and it was left to Duncan Wyatt and Sam Collins with barely any overs left to try to win the match. They put on a quick stand of 28, but Sam was run out and number 11 Nitya Patel batting with one hand as he started the match with a broken thumb was last man out with Eight Ash Green totalling 105.
