Match report Tendring Captain David Cooper said they only had 7 players with one more on their way and the other arriving once he had finished work, so requested to bat first. Even with the late arrivals Tendring only had a team of 9 players, so Eight Ash Green Captain Duncan Wyatt said he would supply 2 fielders.

Tendring opening batsman wanted to hit every ball for 4 and were 63 for 0 from only 6 overs. Duncan decided to go with pace off and brought on Luke Coppin who was playing his first match since June after a neck operation and got the wicket of Oliver Wicks who was bowled. The other opener Tom Dykes continued to score freely until Luke Coppin got a wicket maiden by bowling him in his 5th over.

Scoring slowed down with Tendring posting a score of 154 for 7 off the 30 overs.

Duncan decided to open with Mark Howson and Thomas Riley and Kaydan Jayasena at number 3, as Mark & Kaydan had rarely batted this season, but Eight Ash Green were 2 for 2 and then 22 for 3.
Thomas Riley and Caiden Amos batted well together with Thomas Riley going on to score 52 retired not out and Caiden Amos his best score of 31.
Krishantha Ratnayake also then scored 29 runs and Finley Barnard scored the winning 2 runs from a dropped catch.

Special mention to Chris Eustace who played his first match of cricket for a number of years and kept wicket well, with only 2 byes, a stumping and a catch.
