Match report After a run of disappointing defeats this was a thumping win for the Green. For once we managed to get major batters out relatively early, and Mistley struggled to 137 all out. Troy Collins made a welcome return from university and his 7 overs went for only 14. Rob Lewis, skippering for the day, was more expensive (when bowling a half tracker he swears at himself even before the ball has reached the batter!) but he took 3 wickets. There were also wickets for Luke Coppin and Matt Murray. In reply, Richard Polley was unlucky to be strangled down the legside but Jack Axon and Matt Murray batted beautifully and rarely looked like getting out. They made a contrasting pair: Jack with his careful, classical style meeting everything with the full face of the bat, Matt more expansive. The Green reached their target with only one wicket down and 5 overs to spare. An excellent win.
