Eight Ash Green Cricket Club Lost by 24 runs

Match report Coggeshall won the toss & decided to bat first.
Their openers batted well although some of our bowling was quiet loose & we dropped a couple of easy carches. The opening partnership was 98 & the fist wicket did not fall until the 17th over, Coggeshall finished with 119 for 7 after 20 overs, R.Barber top scored with a well compiled 73. Jonno Matthews took 3 wickats & Dominic Doherty 2 at the end of the innings.
Our innings did not start well loosing our first wicket in the first over.
However at 57 for 3 after 11 overs we were still in with a good chance of getting the 120 needed. However we lost 5 more wickets in the next 4 overs to finish on 95 for 8 after 20 overs. Jonathan Purser top scored with 25, Dominic Purser finished 20 n.o & batted very well at the end of the innings.
We had our chances but couldn't take them when both bowling & batting, Coggeshall won by 24 runs & thoroughly deserved the victory.
