As JPs off stump cartwheeled out of the ground last Sunday morning two things happened. Firstly the game swung imperceptibly towards Brightlingsea Under 16s (though The Green eventually limped over the line) and secondly any hope of a new membership of the exclusive Tragic Club CC became a distant dream. TC CC now have 11 fully paid up card carrying members and as a result the membership books are now closed. However, don't despair if you are not already in. Further Golden Duckers in 2013 will join a prestigious reserve list and may be called into action on August 29th when this sad group of "we`re not fit to wear the shirt" colleagues of ours do battle with PJs International Bar XI as part of The Greens Cricket Week. Watch this space for further news nearer the time.
