Quick update on KC this "summer" ...

Training will take place on Friday evenings 6pm to 7pm as usual.  The Heath is flooded and more rain forecast so we are still unlikely to start this week.  Sorry.

Now that all players are more experienced we should be able to attend KC Festivals.  I have added these to the web site (see Fixtures, Kwik Cricket) and they take place on alternate Fridays.  The children LOVE these - it's great practice and I suggest we attend as many as people want.  The first likely one is Copford on 25 May.

The bad news is that there is no real need for Steve & I to attend festivals as all it needs is a bit of organisation (which mums do much better than us!) and a bit of umpiring.  We will be happy to show a couple of parents how to do this - it's easy at this level.  Steve & I are a bit stretched with Youth Training and coaching U12s, not to mention taking our children to U15s & U13s matches too.  The good news is that if there is good take up on festivals then we will probably extend training on the other Fridays to 90 minutes to compensate.

There has also been a bit of confusion on U11s hardball cricket this year.   We don't have enough players for an U11 team so where possible players will play up in the U12s.  Younger players will play top-level Kwik Cricket which will be good training, good experience and good FUN which is vital at this age.
