Congrats to 2nd XI skipper Jon Purser for saving FOUR car journeys by car sharing to Earls Colne last week. 

Our 3D calculator suggests this saved 1/3 of emissions, approx 16 kgs of carbon. 

This might not sound much but we could do this for every fixture we’d save nearly 1/3 of all emissions or 2.6 tonnes of carbon over a season. 

There are a barriers to making car sharing the rule rather than the exception: habit / apathy, amount of kit and safeguarding.

We are addressing all three as the season progresses including Driver Fiver, Stash in the Attic and Safe Driver initiatives.
