Two excellent wins for the men’s teams last week. At Nowton, the 1sts restricted the opposition to 177 all out. Top bowlers were Matt Parker with 4-36 and Calum McDonald with 2-24. A masterful 83 not out by Stuart Hammond, assisted by a mature 34 from Ollie Stovell, took us home by 5 wickets. 

At Earls Colne, 2nd XI successfully chased a huge target of 322. After Jack Smith's 59 and Matt Murray's 38 victory still looked a long way off but  Alex Hammond then made a fantastic 133 not out, and Jack Axon, who can’t stop scoring runs, was unbeaten on 72 as we won with 11 balls to spare. Another remarkable victory for the 2nds!
