Despite lockdown, the Committee have been busy planning for the start of the 2021 season. This includes: new kit for the men’s teams (shirt sponsors urgently needed), Steve Nunn and Ollie Mewis to be 1st XI Captain and Vice-Captain, additional fixtures for the women’s team, purchase of new matting for the existing net and a new mobile net for use on the square, more Level 2 qualified coaches, no increase in subscription rates for the third year running (details on the website here), celebration of the 60th anniversary of the building of the pavilion (postponed from 2020), launch of an ambitious pavilion refurbishment project (changing rooms, showers, social area etc.). 

We have not been able to hold our usual pre-season nets due to lockdown, but we are cautiously optimistic about starting the season as planned on April 17th (1st XI at home v Nacton). The Two Counties League is monitoring the situation and will leave any decision on when the season will start until mid-March.
