EAGCC GreenPiece – TRUNCHEONS OUT TOMORROW! SECONDS GO TOP! CRUNCH GAMES SATURDAY!

20 Aug 2019

Police Vets at Home Wednesday.  The annual fixture takes place on Wednesday when the the police vets bring their pads and pensions to The Green for a friendly.  We welcome people from the village too for what is always an enjoyable fixture. The game starts at 1pm, plenty of Col Brewery beer on so some along and support!

Seconds Go Top!  EAG 2s stretched their unbeaten run to SEVEN on Saturday when they demolished Chappel & Wakes Colne by 136 runs.  Even better, a stronger than normal Kelvedon & Feering 3s beat West Bergholt meaning The Green GO TOP! There are just three games - K&F 3s and Witham 3s at home and Earls Colne away – between The Green and the solitary promotion spot.

Firsts Hold Strong Position.  Easton won the top-of-the-table clash against Tuddenham on Saturday pushing The Green into third place.  Tuddenham are just 4 points ahead but we have a game in hand so should get back in the promotion zone if we keep winning.   Have a look at the League web site for details.   It could still all come down to the last game of the season at home on 14th September.

Sunday 1s Bounce Back.  After a disappointing result last week, the Sunday Xi bounced back with a great win over Coggeshall.  Again, youth policy came good with contributions from James Plummer (38), Ethan Wyatt (10) and Troy Collins (38). Read the full match report here.

PieRates Final   This was cancelled due to rain but we hope to re-arrange to keep the Treble dream alive!

Senior Training Thursday training with Head Coach Alex has now paused due to holidays and will restart with Indoor Nets in the New Year.  Thanks to Alex, Sam and all who participated.
