Welcome to the first of our weekly EAGCC newsletters. Posted every Wednesday from now on, these are brief news updates on what’s coming up and what's been happening ...
WOMEN'S GAME FRIDAY. First outing for our Women's Team this tomorrow. Home to Sudbury, start 6pm. All support welcome!
YOUTH KIT ISSUE SATURDAY. Massive thanks to Matt Blair & Blackstone Construction for providing all playing kit again this year. Come up and get your kit and be in the picture for our new brochure! Sam will confirm time directly.
LADIES DAY SATURDAY! A club first this Saturday sees a warm welcome to all female partners, players and parents. It's an idea we've pinched from Colchester Rugby Club and a great chance to meet up as we know you rarely bump into each other. Free glass of Prosecco & Strawberries on arrival from 4pm onwards. The 1st's have a tough game against Witham and ALL support welcome. Stiffs away Kelvedon.
FATHERS’ DAY SUNDAY. It’s our usual Sunday Special format with Barbie & beers later. Discounted drinks for all Dads with families from 4pm. You know you’ve earned it! Why not bring a picnic too? The Sunday 1sts play Elmstead and the weather is looking HOT!
YOUTH NEWS. Our U11 played their first game yesterday - result awaited. Our U13s beat Kelvedon (Tom Lee 83 - WOW!) to record our first win in Premier League. Kwik Cricket: beginners and intermediate are both playing well and winning games. We held our own KC competition recently with our Blue team winning and our parents performing well!
SENIOR REVIEW. Great win for 1sts away at Bromley last Saturday keeps them in Div 5 top three. Good knock from James Parker (95) and another 5 wicket haul for Mark Goodall. Stiffs at home cancelled due to Travellers. Great game on Sunday at Castle Park saw narrow loss to powerful Colchester & EE. (Team pictured above). Wednesday PieRates won again yesterday to stay TOP of Wednesday league. Full results on web.
