Match report A great win for the U13s!

Against Wivenhoe earlier in the week it had been our bowling that nearly took us to victory. Today it was our batting. Jake White and Josh Eustace got us off to a great start until Jake was run out for 14 and Josh had to retire. Captain Connor then kept up the momentum, hitting three boundaries in his 20. We slowed up a bit towards the end but in the last over Sam hit an excellent boundary which turned out to be the difference between the two teams.

Our bowlers who had done so well against Wivenhoe struggled to bowl straight on this occasion and we conceded a massive total of 66 extras! But just when it looked as if Frinton might get to our total of 113 Jack and Finlay held two good catches and Sam took two vital wickets as Frinton fell 4 runs short.

Well done to everyone for an excellent win, with special mentions to Connor Amos for captaining the team so well in the field, Sam Rajpal for his vital boundary and two wickets, and Mel for scoring.
