Match report Batting first, West Bergholt lost two early wickets but two good partnerships and a large number of wides took them to a strong score of 115-3 after their 18 overs. The Green stuck to their task well in the field with Finlay Barnard and Evan Cook being perhaps the pick of the bowlers. Captain William Brotherton was excellent behind the stumps. When the Green replied, some excellent fielding by West Bergholt produced two run outs in the first over and the Green struggled to recover against some good bowling. William Brotherton played a captain's innings and ended on 21 not out as the Green reached 62-6 off their 18 overs, 53 short of their target.

Well done to everyone for a good performance in their first game, and thanks to Rachel Watson for scoring and James Brotherton for looking after the team. The U12s' next game is away against Great Bentley and Bromley on Tuesday 23rd.
