Match report On another sunny warm afternoon Duncan Wyatt won the toss and after getting his figures burnt last week after deciding to bat, he won the toss and decided to bowl.

Wivenhoe started well and were 64 for 1 from 11.5 overs, but after Duncan Wyatt caught the opening batsman off the last ball of Dev Agrawal's 3rd over, Eight Ash Green steadily kept taking wickets to bowl out last batsman Matt Gorham who came back to bat after retiring on 51 (league rules) for a total of 129 all out from 25,2 overs.

Thomas Riley had kindly put his hand up to keep wicket for the first time in senior cricket and after 2 drop catches, he then took a marvellous reflex catch by his left shoulder standing up to the stumps after the batsman had glanced it down the leg side. Caiden Amos returned the excellent bowling figures of 3-0-8-4.

Eight Ash Green did not start their reply well and were 38 for 4 from 8 overs. Thomas Riley rode his luck early in his innings when he was a fag paper away from being bowled on 2 occasions. Then Joshua Eustace joined him and they compiled a match winning partnership of 92 with Joshua Eustace playing a reverse shot for 4 runs to win the match. 14 years old Thomas Riley scored 45 not out and 16 years old Joshua Eustace 43 not out. It was a pleasure to watch the 2 young players bat.
