Match report A brilliant performance in the field was nearly enough to win a thrilling victory for the Green U13s. When the Green were put into bat, Josh Eustace batted very well for his 14 but the rest struggled to keep out straight bowling backed up by good fielding. Our 49 all out seemed a small total to defend but Wivenhoe were soon 7 wickets down for not very many due to inspired bowling by Josh Eustace with three wickets (Player of the Match?) and two excellent runouts. At that stage it looked as if the Green might win a famous victory but some wides and no balls took Wivenhoe close to victory and we could not quite take the one wicket we needed. It was an exciting game and the team can go into Friday's match v. Frinton with confidence. Thanks to Mindy for managing the team and Mel for scoring.
