Match report For the last Saturday match of the season Eight Ash Green won the toss and elected to field. Early on in the Kelvedon & Feering innings we had a tight grip on the run rate with Ethan Wyatt opening the bowling and bowling his allocated 8 overs straight off and returning the remarkable bowling figures of 8-5-4-0. Kelvedon & Feering gradually accelerated and posted 189-5 off 40 overs. Special mention to Diane Pasfield who did a great job keeping wicket and only let through 1 bye and that was in the 38th over of the innings.
Captain Duncan Wyatt decided to open with the father and son partnership of Craig and Jack Axon. A steady opening partnership of 94 in 24.3 overs when Craig Axon was out on 57, looking to raise the tempo of the innings. With the required run rate building Ethan Wyatt hit 11 looking to score quickly, Duncan Wyatt a cameo of 17 and James Plummer hit 44 not out. Matt Murray had come in at 6 and hit 18 not out hitting 11 off the last over, with a 4 off the last ball to tie.
Really good match to end the season and well played to all players.
