Match report After a very close game against Elmstead U-11's a week ago, players and parents were nervously waiting for another nail biter.
Having practiced our pull shots on Saturday, we managed to build our score steadily, without missing as many scoring opportunities. The other pleasing element to our batting was respecting the good ball, and picking the ball to attack.
Having amassed 281 for 3, comfortably our top score this season, we went about putting our bowling practice to the test.
Bowling straight, only 7 wides bowled in the innings, we managed to take 11 wickets, proving the 'you miss, we hit' theory. Even more pleasing is that all 8 bowlers took a wicket.
Restricting Elmstead to 205 for 11, is a true reflection of how fast this team are improving.
