Kelvedon & Feering III v Eight Ash Green Cricket Club Two Counties 2nd XI (Saturday) on Sat 20 Jun 2015 at 13:00
Match was Abandoned
Match report
The 2's were away at Kelvedon on Saturday, was a muggy overcast day in Kelvedon, after pulling away Dom Purser from the play park next door, Luke lost the toss as predictably and we went into bat on a bowlers wicket. James Belsh opened to an average bowling attack and was caught at square leg right where the bowler had moved a fielder 10 yards closer for that exact shot.
Then in came Richard Polyester with a test match knock to get 30 off many overs to form a partnership with JP and Luke Greasboard. AJ too batted well with plenty of 4's but was bowled by a 14 year old.
JP was in bat with Keeble and played some great shots to relieve the pressure from some tight bowling, however JP was caught from an unlucky shot. To follow him was Andrew Nohouse with the Strident duo in bat they smashed the bowling in between rain delays but however it had to end with the rain getting too much and the match was abandoned.
Shame about the game as it looked like a winning pitch (for us) especially as Kelvedon looked like they had the batsmen from the last game.
