Match was Tied

Match report Halstead won the toss and asked us to bat. We batted steadily throughout the innings to score 86 for 3 off our 20 overs.
Jonathan Purser the captain top scored with 29 not out, Jack Blackwell was next best on 22.
Halstead followed a similar scoring pattern to us and also finished on 86 for 4 off 20 overs. A tie!!
Everyone except Charlie(wk) had a bowl, most bowled okay however again there were too many wides bowled! Also some of the ground fielding was not up to the standard I would expect. We will need to concentrate on both these skills at training in the next few weeks.
However when we needed to the team pulled out all the stops.
Halstead were 86 after 19 overs but tight bowling from Dominic Doherty & some good fielding stopped them from scoring in the last over, finishing with a run out off the last ball.
A deserved result, but so easily could have been a win if we'd have bowled a bit straighter.
Well done to all those who played.
