Crunch Game This Sunday @ The Green

14 Sep 2015

Ladies, Gentlemen, Gingers:

This coming Sunday (20th) sees the EAG Sunday XI face local rivals Great Horkesley and Lexden,

If you are unfortunate enough to not know how the team are going you would have to check your computer hasn't been hacked.

The Sunday team have defied all odds and not only been surprising other teams but also themselves, as they now stand 2nd in Division 2 and could see themselves getting promoted!

As well as the chance of promotion this Sunday is the penultimate game of the seasons before the week after where it will be the last game against Witham at home.

Not only is this fixture important in the hope of 20 points and 20 pints down the local curry house! (who denied us sponcership) but GH&L are also league leaders whom last time we played the Green defied all odds and emerged victorious with only 9 men defending 79. (See match report here)

As you can imagine GH&L were not pleased so will be looking for revenge at the Green, this is where your support would be greatly appreciated to show them what a proper club looks like, and see for yourself how we are 2nd in the league- the weather is looking good so don't use that excuse!

With the international cricket season almost over why not watch some higher standard of cricket?

All in all we hope to see you there for what is going to be a cracking game of cricket and a great day out.

EAGCC North Essex 1st XV

(If you're lucky it might be a reduced overs game)
