EAG were well represented at the North Essex Cricket League Dinner last night with wins for Joe Young (first to 15 dismissals) and Richard Nunn (best bowler in division).
Guest speaker, Nottingham & England star Derek Randall was so impressed by our status as the World’s First Carbon Neutral Cricket Club that he invited El Presidenté to say a few words to the assembled cricketers. Derek also achieved another first – his first ever selfie with Joe and Matt Parker (pictured left). Yes, that really is him in the middle.
The Green also bought a Derek Randall picture in the auction to remember the evening by as most would struggle in the morning. This will be added to the Low Carbon Corner at the GP Pavilion.
