Dear Member,

I am pleased to announced, that following confirmation from the Two Counties League, (Via their website), despite finishing third in our division (Joint 2nd on points), the Saturday 1st XI has won it's second consecutive promotion! 

We sat down as a club 4 years ago almost to the day and decided that our main on-field focus was to gain promotion through the Saturday divisions with a goal of moving from division 9 to division 3 in the next 10 years. I am very pleased to say that after 4 years, we are now half way to achieving that goal and will be playing in division 6 next year. Our secondary goal was to maintain the Sunday 1st XI playing at least at it's level at the time which was the 3rd tier of Sunday Criicket, I am also very pleased that we have, thus far, also achieved this. 

Division 6 will be a significant step up from the this year, we will be joined by 2 outstanding teams we played this year in Nowton and Worlington, and will come up against many other teams of higher quality than we have faced over the past few years week in week out. So be prepared, come to winter nets, train hard and give it all for the Green Machine!
