Pool Competition Investigated

25 May 2014

In an unprecedented move the Serious Fraud Squad (SFO) are investigating the outcome of Saturdays EAG CC Pool Comp held at PJs Sports Bar and Grill. The winner, PJ himself, is accused by many who were there of not hitting a ball in anger all night. DCI Penny Lovejoy (36 from West Bergholt) spoke at a hastily organised Press conference. She advised us at The Green that "Mr Johnson is clearly the innocent party in all of this. We believe that an as yet un-named local man assumed the identity of PJ and ran off with the £10,000 first prize before anyone could stop him" Club Chairman Kevin "Carlsberg" Smith was unavailable for comment last night but in a prepared statement read out by his lawyer he said "The Berg was excellent all night". The missing man is described as 5 foot 8 inches tall, of slight to medium build and with very little hair. The public are advised not to approach him as he may be with a huge white dog.
