Dear Members, please see below informamation regarding our upcoming quiz and fundraiser on Friday 13th September, we hope to see as many of you there as possible - 

Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust (Jo’s Trust) is the only UK charity dedicated to women and their families affected by cervical cancer and cervical abnormalities. Their aim is to offer information, support, and friendship to women of all ages. We work to help women understand the importance of cervical screening and HPV vaccination to help prevent cervical cancer as well as offer our own brand of support when a woman's screening shows up with abnormalities or they are diagnosed with cancer.

Earlier this year Laura Stonehouse, wife of Duncan and Daughter in Law of EAG club legend John, was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer. Thanks to the excellent treatment in various hospitals over Essex she is now in clinical remission; she has got there thanks to the excellent support of Jo's Trust & Colchester Copes and wants to give something back to them.

With the family connection to the club, chairman Tom Lissimore kindly said we could use the GP pavillion at the Heath for a fundraiser and we would love to get as many members there as possible to help raise some much needed funds.

September 13th....7pm....come and have a beer and a burger and do your bit for a worthy cause!

There will also be a raffle with some excellent prizes such as quaser for upto 22 people, free CUFC tickets, meerkats experiences and loads more
