Tragic Game. Result Reversed Shock

31 Aug 2013

The result of yesterdays match at The Green between Tragic CC and PJs International XI, originally won by The Tragics, has been sensationally reversed and must now go down as a win to the Bar Boys. In an early morning statement, the Essex WADA (World Anti Doping Agency) Representative Mr Simon Lovedoombar-Joy (36, from West Bergholt) announced "Following the match it has been revealed that all of the squad that played for the Tragics CC have failed a post match drugs test. They all appear to have the banned substance Goldenduckazole in their systems and have therefore had to concede the match. Its unique for me to see a whole team fail but these are the facts. Kevin Smith, the Tragic CC Skipper has denied allegations that he introduced the substance at a pre-season training camp at The Bricklayers Arms. His team have asked for their B samples to be tested and they have confirmed that they will fight to have the original result reinstated as early as possible. Chairman Tom "The Ton" Lissimore announced that an internal club enquiry will start at 12 noon today when the bar opens. Carlsberg anyone?
