On Friday the U12s have a match against Halstead.  We have a squad of thirteen and of the first five responses three are unavailable.  This means we are already short and I will have to start calling round to make up the numbers.  This is not the first time this has happened (we had just three for a Kwik Cricket festival) and creates masses of extra work which I could do without. 

For anyone new to team sports, EAGCC commits to play fixtures with other clubs and needs its players to commit to fulfilling them. These matches are not a surprise, they have been on the web site and handbook for months.  They are not optional and by joining EAG players commit to playing them whenever possible. 

Whilst I know we all lead busy lives can I please ask for maximum commitment to play in matches.  Please also note these comments are not directed specifically to those not playing Friday but as general advice on the expectations of club cricket.  Thank you.
