It is with very great sadness that we have to announce the death of Matt Murray,  2nd XI captain, life member and inspiration to everyone he played with or met. Aged only 30, he had bravely endured surgery and medication over a number of years and died peacefully in St Helena Hospice on December 16th, surrounded by his family. He played his last match in July (a win v West Mersea when he took a wicket with his first ball) and the club will not be the same without him.
