In another WORLD FIRST, the all-new C20 CRICKET format is launched at The Green TONIGHT! 

Just go to the Carbon Champions site and you’ll see the Week 12 Round of C20 matches taking place.  If you think it’s an old Batting and Fielding two dice game with Decade and Climate dice bolted on to show increasingly worsening weather conditions, then you’re absolutely right! 

Tonight’s games take 1 to 2 hours to complete but if that’s too much excitement for a Friday evening come back at 8pm and see how The Green got on against Horringer CC. *  In the meantime have a look at Club and Community Demos to see how it all works.

As an EAG club member, you’ve been added to the system. and you’ve made yourself available for selection.  Shock!  Gasp!  Captains, it can happen!  ** Your powers are allocated at random for the demo, but you’ll need to earn them to compete in real Friday C20 matches.

Powers are based on the six ways we’re going to fight climate change in cricket: energy, transport, food, clothing, kit, data.  You earn them through Deeds Not Words, and taking climate action boosts player runs and club points.  Together we’ll smash the opposition! 

The bad news is that tonight’s C20 fixtures take place on 5 July 2070 so there will be a lot of games cancelled or abandoned, and a few clubs folding due to the pressure from climate change.  The good news is that we can all do something about it right here, right now!
